Spammers are in
the news again. This time it’s
Ronnie Scelson testifying before a Senate committee that spam filtering by
ISPs deny their customers “the right to get any e-mail he wants”. As if anyone really wanted his spam pitching, for example, life insurance the day after the
WTC attack.
The day after the terrorist attack on NYC & Washington DC, Scelson decided to prey on the sympathies of people by spamming them with a “give blood or money to the Red Cross” message. But most of the message is made up of an advertisement to buy life insurance.
