More work notes

Meetings. All. Day. Yesterday. I wanted to die. Today will be a (hopefully!) shorter version of yesterday. We met with our new director yesterday, and today we meet with our VP.

We escaped around 5:00 and walked about a mile to Borders where I bought The Philip K. Dick Reader. Then it was back to the hotel and a mile or so in the opposite direction to look for a good place for dinner and a decent bar. We found a pretty good Thai place but the bar search failed.

The original plan was to go to Buckhead, which everyone tells me is the place to go bar-hopping, but it was too far to walk and none of us felt like trying to figure out the trains by ourselves. Our local co-workers all disappeared after work so we were on our own. We ended up at the same bar we were at the night before, where I discovered a new vodka made from grapes, but its name escapes me at the moment (five letters, starts with a ‘C’). It was hard to tell over the tonic, but I think (or imagined) I could taste the grape in it. I should have tried some straight, but I didn’t really feel like drinking much. I called it quits and came back to the hotel around 10:00.

I think we’re going to head out to the airport around 3:00 this afternoon. Hopefully we can get a ride this time. On our way here we walked from the train stop to the hotel which wasn’t a far walk at all, but with this humidity and carrying our bags, it wasn’t very pleasant.

Cîroc is vodka made from Snap Frost Grapes. Yeah, I know, your life is complete now knowing THAT.

Actually it is, because now I can go pick up a bottle. Thanks.

Just makin’ sure you see it correct:
Ciroc but the ‘i’ is supposed to have the funny ^ above. The reason I’m typing this is because on some other browsers it shows up as a bunch of ASCII crap (sorta looks like CARroC). Happy hunting and have a pleasant Labor Day weekend & stuff.
