BART now has schedules, maps, and station info formatted for use on an iPod. I don’t have an iPod Photo, so I can’t use the maps, but I loaded up the text schedules last night. I haven’t had occasion to use them yet, and possibly never will, but it’s one of those things that’s nice to have around just in case.
On the not-so-cool side, they use a really sleazy tactic to trick people into subscribing to a mailing list. Their download link takes you to a page with a prominent form asking for a name and e-mail address, suggesting that you must fill it out in order to download the information. Below that, in smaller print, there’s a link to bypass the subscription form and proceed to the real download page. Shame on you, BART.
Something to say?
