The Month in Cocktails: April 2008

Cocktail Recipes

We started out the month continuing our lemon theme from March with the Gin Sling. Other tasty recipes included the Salty Dog, but did not include the Golden Dawn, which is one of the few cocktails that I didn’t finish in recent memory. Another interesting mix was our Cubas Libres, made with Cuban rum and HFCS-free Mexican Coke.

Bar Reviews

The only new bar we tried this month was International Flight Lounge, which technically isn’t a bar, but a new monthly event happening at Forbidden Island in Alameda. International Flight Lounge plays “A hi-flying mix of the best uptempo ’60s French pop, Euro beat and film soundtracks, exotica, British invasion, and much more”. How can you go wrong?

Another item of note is San Francisco Cocktail Week, a week-long series of cocktail events around SF, kicking off next week. We won’t be going out every night but I hope to hit at least three of these events.

Finally, don’t miss our new site design!
